Film & TV
Movie and TV metadata, posters, and artwork come from The Movie Database (TMDB). This website uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
Streaming availability — where to watch each title — is provided by JustWatch.
Per-season artwork for some anime series comes from AniList.
Games
Game metadata and artwork are provided by IGDB.com.
Books
Book identity, editions, and covers come from Open Library, with opening lines and readable scans from the Internet Archive.
Book search and some descriptions are served live from Google Books. Harder-to-find jackets and synopses come from ISBNdb.
Audiobooks
Audiobook listings, cover art, sample clips, and the charts come from Apple Books, through Apple’s iTunes Search API. Samples are streamed, never stored, and every audiobook page carries a link to that title on Apple Books beside the player. Descriptions come from the linked book’s own record, not from Apple; audiobooks we haven’t matched to a book simply show none. Narrator credits and running times aren’t listed at all — no source we can use publishes them.
Music
Album and song identity data comes from MusicBrainz, and album artwork from its sibling the Cover Art Archive; song previews are courtesy of Apple Music.
Podcasts
Shows, artwork, and the charts come from the Apple Podcasts directory, through Apple’s iTunes Search API.
Episodes — and each show’s fuller description — are read straight from the publisher’s own RSS feed, the same feed every podcast app reads. Episode audio plays from the publisher’s feed, so listening here reaches them exactly as it would anywhere else. Every show page links to its feed, and to the show on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Reference text
Some background and biography excerpts come from Wikipedia, used under CC BY-SA 4.0.
Person and series facts come from Wikidata (CC0). Some portrait photographs come from Wikimedia Commons, each under its photographer’s own license.
Affiliate links
Book pages may include purchase links. Buying through the Bookshop.org link supports local bookstores — and OmList, as an affiliate. Where Amazon links appear: as an Amazon Associate, OmList earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliate relationships never affect what we catalog or recommend.
