The code outlines the responsibilities of the dental facility owner and x-ray equipment operators, and presents the facility requirements, x-ray equipment specifications, film processing and handling procedures, quality assurance and quality control procedures, and procedures to reduce radiation exposure to personnel and patients. An appendix lists the recommended dose limits of x-radiation to operators and other occupationally exposed personnel.
