In this series of poems I have begun to reflect on the progression of ideas encountered in art from primitive times to the present and to consider how they embody all that it is to be human in physical, psychological and philosophical terms. The veneer of civilization that we draw over our nakedness and humanness is at the heart of these poems which explore what it is to exist on a very fundamental and at times very basic level.
