It's a snall book with a lot of useful study tips. The essence of the system is to put ideas into groups that have an "organic unity". Then it's a matter of condensing the ideas and making them memorable. Memory aids include: creating mental images to illustrate important concepts; rewriting material in your own words; asking yourself questions about the material; writing your own thoughts about the subject. The book was written in the days when pen and paper were the default study tools, but it's easy to use *The Sorbonne Method* on a computer. The author, Edmond Bordeaux Szekely had a wide range of interests, so as well as showing readers **how** to study, he outlines seven departments of things worth studying, ranging from disease prevention to spirituality.
