This work is & attempt to elucidate a branch of practice which is in constant request yet has avoided its own treatise up to this point. The book is divided into two parts. The first part contains such general principles as may be gathered from the decided cases; & the second part, arranged alphabetically, contains instances of null & irregular proceedings in every stage of an action.
