Minnesotan Paul Edin is killed near Corinth, Mississippi, during a reenactment of the battle of Kirby Creek. His widow Jenny refuses to believe his death was an accident and investigates with her ex-lover. They soon find evidence that real blood may be spilled during an upcoming reenactment of the battle of Shiloh.
