~ tracking down this book ~
More than 100 years ago it was common for parents to take their children to work with them so that money earned might help to buy food and clothing. Conditions were so bad the government (in Wales) decided to find out the facts and so between 1840 and 1842 two government Inspectors spoke to the children who worked in the mines. During each visit they took brief notes. This book deals with the evidence given by children under the age of eleven years.
