During the 1570s an account of the Spanish conquest of the Inca was composed by Titu Kusi Yupanki. Its aim was to record the events of the war with Spain whilst informing Europeans about the Inca culture that they were suppressing. This book presents a German translation of the chronicle, which covers three centuries, preceded by an introductory discussion in which Martin Lienhard examines its context.
