This book discusses the several international Protestant and Orthodox organizations and their activities from 1910 until the founding of the World Council of Churches in 1948. The international political interactions among these organizations vis-a-vis the League of Nations and at the national level. Some of the topics looked at in detail labor treaties, disarmament, economic and social issues between the industrial nations as well as with the colonies. The effectiveness of their activities is analyzed in regard to an international ethic.
