Recounts the day by day story of the series of excavations in 1994 of the lighthouse of the ancient Egyptian city of Alexandria, which collapsed into the Mediterranean in 1477. Led by Jean-Yves Emprereur, head of the National Centre for Scientific Research, the excavations uncovered architectural blocks, columns, capitals, giant statues, a dozen sphinx, and other artefacts.
