How can one keep the legacy and names of our parents alive? This I believe is an important question we all need to ask ourselves. From my personal experience I would say the best way is to write a book and dedicate it to them; I have titled mine: "Rise Up and Bolt Forward" as a dedication to my wonderful parents, two people who I would always hold in the highest esteem. This book speaks to all through its pages. The pieces, I am hoping, would be viewed as rich with insight and not easily forgotten. They voice those hallmark concerns we all have that deals with the hope we all wish to hold in the promise of tomorrows' light. We may not see, with our souls yet in 'the dark', that in the sunlight we can 'shine' again. I have tried to show my readers that we must make a continuing positive contribution to the direction our lives should take in our own world. When we take that first brave step to stand up and face the challenges within our own world, then there will be hope for all. The poems call out to, and ask us to look within and challenge ourselves to change our present lives for the betterment of ourselves and all of mankind. If you are unhappy within your own domain, first read these pages and answer the questions within. Yes, we can all do it and find those many humble answers within us. Sing to your new self.
