“1. My Early Years
The Hall Family was heading home from their Grandparent's place at Sackville Street, Greenslopes. My mother Myrtle was rying Ron, George and Mervyn were walking beside Mum. I was four years old but was too sick and weak to walk so I was in the pram with my Father who was in control of the pram. My pram was speeding up, my father had let go of the pram! I could hear my Mother yelling behind me, "Stop the pram! " My father was too busy laughing. The footpath was coming up fast, the pram hit the concrete gutter, bucked and rolled over, then shot me out of the pram. Mum was there first. Dad was splitting his sices laughing. I did not utter a word. Luckily I was not injured.”
