~ finding the right voice ~
A friend pointed me toward , and somewhere between curiosity and boredom I gave it a proper look. The pace caught me off guard more than anything. Some rounds fly by so fast that there's barely enough time to second-guess yourself, which, weirdly enough, helped me stop overthinking. I still remember hitting a couple of nice predictions in a row, grinning for about ten seconds, then immediately getting brought back to earth by a silly miss. That's the rhythm, I guess. The tension comes in waves, and I actually enjoy that more than endless waiting around. I don't treat every round like it's worth jumping into anymore. Letting a few pass without touching anything keeps my head clearer, and the whole experience feels a lot more enjoyable that way. Funny how patience sometimes beats excitement without making a big deal about it.
